Home Medical Equipment Technician (Full Time)
General:
The Home Medical Equipment Technician must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided by Home Medical and uphold it's standard for excellence. Responsible for competent, efficient, and friendly delivery and setup of equipment and supplies to customers in their home. Responsible for equipment checks, education to clients and their families/caregivers, service, cleaning, documentation and safeguarding company assets while in their care. Must be able to assist with administrative aspects as well to include answering phones, scheduling and appropriate documentation.

Qualifications Physical:
- ln an average 8 hour day the employee lifts/carries up to 65 pounds frequently.
- 1n an average 8 hour day the employee stands/walks 3
- In an average 8 hour day the employee sits 1 h (These hours include up to 1 hours of data entry/phone work.)
- 1n an average 8 hour day the employee drives 4 hour.
- The employee lifts/carries up to 170 maximum.
- Must be clean & neat in personal
Education:
- High school diploma or E.D. equivalent preferred.
Experience/Knowledge/Personality:
- Excellent driving record with Hazardous Material
- Able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- People sensitive characteristics with a desire to help others.
- Good computer/keyboarding skills.
- Able to handle heavy phone load.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of information exposed to.
On Call:
- Periodically available for non-office hours.
- Willing to be trained in pertinent area of equipment/supplies.
- Available for home/office visits.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Deliver and set-up equipment and supplies efficiently and provide instructions to client as appropriate.
2. Perform efficient equipment checks and servicing of oxygen and related equipment per company policy in customer's home
3. Be familiar with and adhere to all regulatory and safety procedures that apply to the delivery of liquid oxygen.
4. Document all equipment service and maintenance work in appropriate records.
5. Maintain and update plan of care for customers following home visits

7. With the assistance of the Home Medical Equipment Manager, arrange for efficient and cost effective routes and deliveries.
8. Pick up equipment in timely manner.
9. Assist with cleaning and repair of all equipment while in store and time permits. Maintain records for all rental equipment.
10. Responsible for being on-call as per company policy.
11. Responsible for attendance at in-store meetings.
12. Assist with retail sales and be knowledgeable of supplies, prices and reimbursement
13. Assist with inventory control.
14. Responsible to follow billing policies and complete all appropriate paperwork for processing.
15. Responsible for maintaining vehicle and appropriate records as set in company policies.
16. Help maintain branch building and grounds by cleaning, painting, performing minor repairs and other tasks as time permits.
17. Responsible for seeking tasks and informing Manager of idle time between deliveries.
18. Responsible for observing confidentiality at all times.
19. Responsible for the safe operation and routine care of company vehicle's.
20. Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
